Registration opens in April or May

Starts early September (usually the first weekend after Labor Day) and ends mid to late November. Playoffs for U8 to U12 can carry into December.

Spring

Registration opens in November

Starts early March, weather permitting, and ends mid to late May. No playoffs.

Registration is paid by credit or debit card in PlayMetrics. No card? Register anyway and our registrar will contact you to arrange payment. Questions? Email registrar@lbyso.org.

Sibling discount

$25 off for each additional player in the same household and registration.

Divisions are capped and fill up quickly.

02Divisions

Which division?

Divisions are split into boys and girls by birthdate. The season year runs August 1 to July 31. Players between divisions play up: a U9 plays U10, a U13 plays U14.

04Good to know

Before the season

  • Player evaluations

    Registered U8 to U16 players who didn't play the previous season must attend a player evaluation. Players who miss evaluations are placed on a waitlist and aren't guaranteed a spot. Evaluation details are sent by PlayMetrics email and posted on our social media.

  • Practices and games

    Practice days, times and locations are set by each coach; see when practices happen. Games are on Saturdays, with the occasional weekday make-up game.

    Players will not be moved to another team to accommodate schedule conflicts.

  • Refund policy

    • All requests must be made in writing to registrar@lbyso.org by the parent or guardian of the player being withdrawn.
    • Full refunds are given if a player is withdrawn before early registration closes. After that, refunds carry a $10 administration fee.
    • After rosters are locked there are no refunds. The Board may consider a refund for a medical condition that prevents a player from participating, still less the $10 fee.
    • Refunds go back to the card used, through PlayMetrics, and cover the registration fee only. Processing fees are not refunded. Allow 5 to 10 business days.

Volunteer coaches are always needed

Head coaches get a full refund for one child's registration, and assistant coaches get 50%. Teams without a coach can start practices late, so if your child's team needs one, please consider volunteering. First-time coaches get help from the league.
