Team management tips
- Don't do all the work yourself. Get parents to help set up and clean up at games.
- Pick a practice day, time and location that works for you, and be considerate of your families' schedules.
- Recruit a Team Manager for uniform pickup, the team banner, snacks and Picture Day. Team Managers must register with LBYSO Risk Management.
- Recruit an assistant coach to help out and cover when you're away. Assistant coaches must register with LBYSO Risk Management.
- LBYSO gives head coaches an equipment pack. For extras like practice goals or more balls, don't be shy about asking parents to pitch in. Have players bring a ball to practice.
- Start a team chat in PlayMetrics or by text as soon as you can.
