Teams should send a coach or other team rep down to pick up uniforms tonight from 6-7:15pm at Bancroft MS. While the formal coaches meeting is up in the air, coaches are welcome to have informal one on one Q&A with board members on site.
Due to several reasons including rain and lack of coaches delaying the start of many teams' practices and potential conflicts with club and Signature schedules that are not yet released, the season kickoff has been pushed back to March 9.
Reminder for 2004-2012 boys and girls interested in playing Signature league, there will be open tryouts tonight at Bancroft MS beginning at 6pm. Check in with Coach Mark Hervin.
Skills nights for U6 and U8 players only will go on as planned on these dates from 6-7:15pm:
Tonight Feb 22

We are pleased to relay that fields used for LBYSO at Heartwell Park are due to undergo a major renovation. Here is an excerpt from the approved LB Public Works document:
The Project is designed to increase irrigation efficiency and improve landscape
maintenance by implementing an automated, weather-based watering system, upgrading the existing irrigation pumps, and replacing irrigation lines, sprinkler heads, and damaged turf grass and sod. These changes will greatly improve the condition of the field, make maintenance more manageable, and are expected to reduce water usage.
One drawback, is that while the Spring 2019 season will proceed as planned, practice and game locations will likely be impacted by the project. We are in regular communication with the Parks & Rec Dept and details will be provided as they become available. Completion is expected by the start of the Fall 2019 season.
BOARD MEMBER positions are also open. Have a say in how the league operates and allocates funds. Meetings are held once a month. Contact LBYSO Secretary Josephine Lara at firstname.lastname@example.org for info. Board member flyer
Schedules for all Rec divisions are now found under the Programs menu. Programs - LBYSO Recreational for U6-U10 or Programs - Intercity League for U12 and up.
